Product Overview: The Quantum V Segmental BIA is the instrument of choice to assess sarcopenia by measuring 13 resistance and reactance zones of the human body. An ideal instrument for illustrating age related muscle loss or muscle increase by exercise and nutrition. A more accessible, portable, cost-effective, and radiation-free alternative to DXA [1,2]. The Quantum V provides segmental body composition assessments of fat and lean soft tissue (LST) in each arm, leg and right and left torso with actual BIA measurements including phase angle. The upper, lower, right and left body are also included. In addition, the sum of the points equals the whole. Specifically, the sum of the appendicular lean soft tissue (LST) equals the whole body LST (US patent 9591987 B1).
